The Last Goodnight was an alternative rock/pop band from Enfield, Connecticut, USA. Their major label debut, ''Poison Kiss'', was released on 28 August 2007. The first single from the album, "Pictures of You", became a pop radio hit in the summer of 2007. ==History== In June 2005, the Enfield, Connecticut band, Renata, performed at the Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angeles. The band caught the eye of RCA Records A&R Sr. VP, Jeff Blue. Blue left RCA to develop the band in his house for three years. Blue brought the band to Virgin Records and eventually produced the debut album which spawned the single "Pictures of You" and "Stay Beautiful" which was written by Blue, Henneberry, and Nadeau. In July 2007, the band started a nine week tour around 36 locations in the US in order to promote the release of their new album, ''Poison Kiss''. Touring with them were Rocco DeLuca and the Burden. In the fall the band joined Elliott Yamin and fellow opening act Josh Hoge on Yamin's tour of 31 cities, mostly in the US but with two in Canada. This tour began on 5 October 2007 in Chicago and ended on 26 November in Washington DC. The song Pictures of You became one of the most played songs on pop radio through 2007-2008 garnering Blue and Henneberry a BMI Award in 2009 The song ''Pictures of You'' was released from the 2007 album and has been featured in several situations: * the promo clip for season two of the American television series ''Brothers & Sisters'' * the trailer for romantic comedy ''Ghosts of Girlfriends Past'' * SportsCenter's ''Images of 2007'' video * as a free download on Apple's iTunes Music Store * the chick flick ''Picture This'' Two further tracks from the album became singles - ''Stay Beautiful'' and ''This Is The Sound'', whilst ''In Your Arms'' was added to Australian radio playlists. The band turned its focus to making a new record but after a short tour in 2008 and no additional success charting in the US, they were dropped by Virgin.
